The Alliance Party of Northern Ireland (APNI) is a liberal and centrist political party in Northern Ireland, founded on 21 April 1970. The party originally represented moderate and non-sectarian Ulster unionism, but it moved towards neutrality during the 1990s, branding itself as neither unionist nor nationalist, and aligning itself with the Liberal Democrats party in the United Kingdom. In 2017, it held 8/90 Northern Ireland Assembly seats and 30/462 Local Council seats.
