Allenhurst is a borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey. It was named for resident Abner Allen, whose farm was purchased by the Coast Land Improvement Company in 1895 in order to build an upper-class summer resort and a suburb of New York City. It was incorporated as a borough on 26 April 1897, and it came to have a population of 487 people in 2016. That year, 61.3% of the population voted for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
