
Allen Ingvar Olson (5 November 1938-) was the Republican Governor of North Dakota from 6 January 1981 to 1 January 1985, succeeding Art Link and preceding George A. Sinner.
Biography[]
Allen Ingvar Olson was born in Rolla, North Dakota in 1938, and he served in the US Army's JAG Corps from 1963 to 1967. He went on to become a lawyer in Bismarck, and he served as Attorney General of North Dakota from 1973 to 1980 and as Governor from 1981 to 1985. He became co-owner of a die-casting company in New Hope, Minnesota in 1987, and he supported Independence Party of Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Tom Horner in the 2010 gubernatorial election.
