The All Burma Students' Democratic Front (ABSDF) is a liberal democratic opposition movement in Myanmar that was founded on 1 November 1988 following the 8888 Uprising.
The ABSDF was founded by former student exiles with the objective of freeing the Burmese people from military oppression, creating a democracy with political freedom and respect for human rights, obtaining nationwide peace, and introducing a federal system to the country. From 2001 to 2010, the United States placed the student army on its terror list. The group came to hold seven camps on the Myanmar-Thailand border, and it operated foreign branches in the United States, Australia, and elsewhere.
