Alfred Newton Jones (1863-1899) was a US Army soldier who was stationed at Fort Wallace, South Dakota during the 1890s. He was killed during a Wapiti and Van der Linde Gang ambush on the road out of Rapid City in the 1899 Battle of Firwood Rise.
