Alfred Franken (5 August 1912-), born Alfred Gontard, was a German policeman who served as the Polizeidirektor of the Hamburg Police during the 1960s. Born in Berlin, he joined the SS (number 210008) and reached the rank of SS-Standartenführer during World War II. After the war, he joined ODESSA and falsified his identity in order to become a policeman, rising to the rank of director.
