Alfonso Barrera (died October 1722) was an officer of the Spanish Army in Havana, Cuba, known for his corruption.
Biography[]
Alfonso Barrera was a corrupted officer who stole from merchants in Havana's rich district and used the money to fund Templar Order operations elsewhere. In 1722, the Assassin Order bureau leader Anto tasked Edward Kenway with assassinating him with a reward of 1,000 reales.
Death[]

Kenway found Barrera in a heavily-guarded small courtyard, where he was having a dance party with other troops. Kenway succeeded in avoiding the alerted scouts on the rooftops, but he was eventually noticed by people in the square, so he shot Barrera with a pistol in the groin. This failed to kill him, so Kenway jumped into the square and encountered the Spanish troops. When Barrera drew a pistol to shoot Kenway, Kenway dropped a smoke bomb and stabbed Barrera in the chest with his hidden blades before escaping the guards.
