Alfonso Aguilar

Alfonso Aguilar was a Puerto Rican-American lawyer who served as Executive Director of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles. President George W. Bush appointed Aguilar as the first Chief of the US Office of Citizenship, and he encouraged the integration of immigrants into American civic culture. On 5 August 2019, in response to Patrick Crusius' white supremacist terrorist attack in El Paso, Aguilar told Jake Tapper that it was unfair for Donald Trump to be blamed for inciting the massacre, despite admitting that Trump had made offensive comments in the past.
