Alexandra Rojas

Alexandra Rojas (1995-) was Chair of Justice Democrats, a progressive political action committee. Rojas first entered politics in 2016 when she joined Bernie Sanders' campaign for President of the United States. As chair of Justice Democrats, she sought to build a multiracial progressive cohort of lawmakers who would push for the Green New Deal, Medicare for all, free college, and the elimination of corporate PAC money from politics. In 2019, Justice Democrats was criticized for focusing on getting progressives to challenge liberal Democrats incumbents in the primaries, potentially endangering the Democrats' chances of maintaining their majority in the US House of Representatives or having electable US Senate candidates. Rojas also became a CNN political commentator, sitting on Jake Tapper's Roundtable during debates.
