Alexander Thomson (12 January 1788-2 August 1848) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-PA 13) from 1824 to 1 May 1826 (succeeding John Tod and preceding Chauncey Forward). Born in Scotland, Pennsylvania, Thomson settled in Chambersburg and Bedford and taught languages before practicing law. He served in the state house in 1823 and in Congress.
