Alexander Stuart McDill (18 March 1822-12 November 1875) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-WI 8) from 4 March 1873 to 3 March 1875, preceding George W. Cate.

Biography[]

Alexander Stuart McDill was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania in 1822, and he practiced medicine in Crawford County from 1848 to 1856 before moving to Plover, Wisconsin. He served in the State Assembly in 1862, on the board of managers of the Wisconsin State Hospital from 1862 to 1868 (and as superintendent from 1868 to 1873 and in 1875), in the State Senate from 1863 to 1864, and in the US House of Representatives from 1873 to 1875. He died in 1875.
