Alexander Hugh Patterson (born 1751) was an American patriot sympathizer in New York City during the American Revolutionary War. In 1778, he and several other patriots were arrested by the British and sentenced to death by firing squad, but the assassin Ratonhnhake:ton killed the British Army soldiers and their captain, George Brooks, before he could order his men to fire.
