Alexander Hamilton Jr. (16 May 1786 – 2 August 1875) was a member of the New York State Assembly from 1 July 1818 to 30 June 1819.
Biography[]
Alexander Hamilton Jr. was the third child and second son of Alexander Hamilton and Elizabeth Schuyler, and he became a lawyer before serving in the British Army in the Peninsular War and in the US Army during the War of 1812. From 1818 to 1819, he served in the New York State Assembly as a Democratic-Republican. He briefly entered Florida politics before returning to New York City to become a real estate and Wall Street businessman. He died in Greenwich Village in 1875.
