Alexander Hamilton Jones (21 July 1822-29 January 1901) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NC 7) from 6 July 1868 to 3 March 1871, succeeding Francis Burton Craige and preceding James C. Harper.

Biography[]

Alexander Hamilton Jones was born in Buncombe County, North Carolina in 1822, and he served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. After the war, he served in the US House of Representatives from 1868 to 1871, and he went on to live in Washington DC from 1871 to 1876, in Maryland until 1884, in Asheville until 1890, in Oklahoma until 1897, and in Long Beach, California until his death.
