Alexander Gilmore Cochran (20 March 1846-1 May 1928) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-PA 23) from 4 March 1875 to 3 March 1877, succeeding John McCandless Thompson and preceding Thomas McKee Bayne.

Biography[]

Alexander Gilmore Cochran was born in Allegheny City (now part of Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania in 1846, and he became a lawyer in 1866 and served in the US House of Representatives from 1875 to 1877. He moved to St. Louis in 1879 and served as a railroad solicitor for 20 years, and he died in 1928.
