Alex Arthur (26 June 1978-) was a Scottish boxer and Alba Party candidate for the Scottish Parliament. Arthur was a highly controversial figure, calling Romanian beggars "juicy overfed pigs", mocking an AIDS survivor, spreading misinformation on COVID-19 vaccines, claiming that his party had done more for Scottish independence than the Declaration of Arborath, praised Russian doping practices and said that "We need a bit of Putin in Scotland," and criticized gender dysphoria in minors; he claimed that all of his comments were products of his working-class upbringing.
