
Aleksey Aleksandrovich Zhuravlyov (30 June 1962-) was the leader of the conservative Rodina party from 29 September 2012, succeeding Alexander Babakov, and serving as a deputy to the State Duma from 2011.
Biography[]
Aleksey Aleksandrovich Zhuravlyov was born in Voronezh, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union on 30 June 1962, and he graduated from the Voronezh Polytechnic Institute, majoring in the physics of metals. Zhuravlyov was a member of the Voronezh Oblast Duma from 2001 to 2004, and he was a member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, A Just Russia, United Russia, and Rodina during his political career. In 2011, he was elected to the State Duma, and he became the leader of the reinstated Rodina party in 2012 after it was legalized; he remained his United Russia membership in the State Duma.
