Aleksandr Lukin (25 January 1918-19 August 1992) was a corporal of the Red Army during World War II who received the Order of the Red Star for bravery during the Battle of Seelow Heights in 1945.
Biography[]
Aleksandr Lukin was born in the Belarusian SSR on 25 January 1918 and was drafted into the Red Army in 1941 at the start of World War II. Lukin fought alongside fellow future heroes Viktor Reznov and Dimitri Petrenko in the battle of Seelow Heights in April 1945, where he survived a Gewehr 43 shot to the leg and the arm as well as a truck explosion. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star for his achievements, and he died in 1992.
