
Aleksandr Avdeyev (8 September 1946-) was a Russian and Soviet politician and diplomat.
Biography[]
Aleksandr Avdeyev was born in Kremenchuk, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union in 1946, and he served as the Soviet ambassador to Luxembourg from 1987 to 1990, the Russian ambassador to Bulgaria from 1992 to 1996, and ambassador to France from 2002 to 2008. In 2013, he became the Russian ambassador to the Holy See. Avdeyev was a member of the United Russia party.
