Alden Carruthers (born 1845) was an American postal worker and train station attendant who lived in Rhodes, Allen Parish, Louisiana during the late 19th century. He was notoriously corrupt, selling information to criminals and helping them rob stagecoaches or steal moonshine. Carruthers was business partners with the New Orleans fixer Samuel Horley, the Wild West outlaw Arizona Kid, and the Emerald Ranch fence Seamus Whittle during the 1890s.
