Alceste Chaney (1776-1842) was a colonel of the Grande Armee of the First French Empire during the Napoleonic Wars. Chaney commanded a regiment of fusiliers in Jean Rapp's V Corps, and he commanded the regiment at the Battle of La Suffel in 1842, defeating the Austrians there.
