Albion Private Services was a British private military company which was founded by Nigel Cass during the early 21st century. Albion's contractors were equipped with state-of-the-art, military-grade weapons and vehicles, including armored trucks and drones. In 2020, following a series of terrorist attacks in London which left thousands dead, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom granted Albion a contract to assume responsibility for law enforcement in London, effectively implementing a police state which was dominated by the government-sponsored ctOS surveillance system. Albion set up multiple checkpoints across London, harassed local civilians and dissenters, and replaced the Metropolitan Police Service in the majority of their duties. Albion was soon faced with a growing left-wing populist protest movement as well as an insurgency by the hacktivist and resistance group DedSec, which took part in both cyber and armed attacks against Albion.
