
Albie Vassell (1830-1872) was a member of the Blighters gang of London.
Biography[]
Albie Vassell was the middle of seven children in an abusive family in London, and he always felt a need to be noticed and heard. He later joined the Blighters and used racing as a hobby, killing his opponents if they beat him; he was also a drug dealer. In 1868, he was kidnapped in Southwark by Evie Frye, who turned him in to the Metropolitan Police Service for a bounty. Albie remained in prison for four years and in 1872 came to his cell the guards who killed him kick his head.
