The Alberta Social Credit Party was a provincial political party in Alberta, Canada that was active from 1934 to 2017. It was founded on a social credit monetary policy and on conservative Christian social values, and it was affiliated with the Social Credit Party of Canada. In 1935, the party won a majority government, and it supported radical monetary reform. Its policies were pro-business and anti-union, and it was opposed to government intervention in the economy. The party remained in power until 1971, but, from 1982 until its transformation into the "Pro-Life Alberta Political Association" in 2017, it held no seats in the government.
