
Albert Smith (3 January 1793-29 May 1867) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-ME 2) from 4 March 1839 to 3 March 1841, succeeding Francis Ormand Jonathan Smith and preceding William P. Fessenden. Born in Hanover, Massachusetts, he practiced law in Portland before serving in the state house in 1820, as a US Marshal from 1 830 to 1838, and in Congress.
