Albert Washington McIntire (15 January 1853-31 January 1935) was the Republican Governor of Colorado from 8 January 1895 to 12 January 1897, succeeding Davis H. Waite and preceding Alva Adams.
Biography[]
Albert Washington McIntire was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1853, and he later settled in Colorado and served as its Republican governor from 1895 to 1897. In 1896, he sent the state national guard to Leadville to suppress a violent strike at the Coronado Mine.
