Alarico (1 March 739-28 April 787) was the Chancellor of the House of Galbaio.
Biography[]
Alarico was born on 1 March 739 to a lowborn family of Catholic Italians, and in 770 he was made the chancellor of the House of Galbaio by the future Doge Giovanni of Venice. On 1 April 783 he met with a group of hedge knights that came to visit the Republic of Venice, and welcomed them to the city on behalf of Giovanni. He died on 28 April 787, and he was succeeded as chancellor by Gastone.
