Alan Nunnelee (9 October 1958 – 6 February 2015) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-MS 1) from 3 January 2011 to 6 February 2015, succeeding Travis Childers and preceding Trent Kelly.
Biography[]
Alan Nunnelee was born in Tupelo, Mississippi in 1958, and he served as vice president of sales and marketing for American Funeral Assurance Co. before becoming President of both Allied Funeral Associates, Inc. and Allied Funeral Associates Insurance Company, which he co-founded with his father. He served in the State Senate from 1995 to 2011, when he entered the US House of Representatives. He died of a brain tumor in 2015, and he was succeeded by Trent Kelly.
