Alan Duncan (born 31 March 1957) was the Conservative Party MP for Rutland and Melton from 9 April 1992 to 6 November 2019, succeeding Michael Latham and preceding Alicia Kearns. He was the first openly gay Conservative MP.

Alan Duncan was born in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, England on 31 March 1957, and he worked for Royal Dutch Shell before entering politics with the Conservative Party. He served as MP for Rutland and Melton from 1992 to 2019, and he played a key role in William Hague's rise to the Conservative leadership in 1997. Duncan served as Minister of State for International Development from 2010 to 2014 and Minister of State for Europe and the Americas from 2016 to 2019, when he stepped down.
