Alan Crawford

Alan "Scipio" Crawford (died 9 July, 1992) was a major figure in the Los Angeles hip-hop scene, serving as the manager of the famous rapper Madd Dogg. In 9th of July 1992, he was killed when his car veered off of a Venice Beach pier into the Pacific Ocean.

Biography[]

Alan Crawford was born in Los Angeles, California to an African-American family, and he grew up in a city plagued with gang violence. Crawford had connections to the Ballas gang, and he formed close friendships with a few Ballas OGs. Crawford also befriended famous rapper Madd Dogg, and he became his manager.

In 9th July 1992, he won a music award for Madd Dogg's success, and Crawford thanked his fans, his mother, and his drug dealer in the speech. He entered his black Buick Roadmaster sedan with a beautiful lady after the awards, only to discover that his chauffeur had been killed and replaced by Carl Johnson, who had been sent by rival rapper OG Loc to assassinate him and damage Madd Dogg's career. Johnson locked Crawford and his girlfriend into the car and drove the car off of a Venice Beach pier, bailing out before the car flew into the Pacific Ocean. Crawford, who was locked into the car, drowned with the girl, having been unable to swim even had he been able to escape.
