Al Chambers (1890-1980) was a former Deputy Sheriff of Fairvale California until 1960. Sheriff Chambers was responsible for arresting Norman Bates in 1959, and solving the 1959 Bates Motel Murders. He retired a few years later, being succeeded by John Hunt.
