al-Rashid ibn Salim (27 April 868-9 January 879) was the second son of Emir Salim Iqritishi. His mother was Emira Kenwa of the Iqritishi Emirate, and he was raised a Sunni Muslim Andalusian. He was made Emir of the Aegean Islands by his father, but, in late 867, he fell ill with camp fever (epidemic typhus) and tragically died on 9 January 879 at the age of 10.
