The al-Rantisi Hospital raid occurred on 13 November 2023 when the Israeli Navy's elite Shayetet 13 commando unit and the Israel Defense Forces' 401st Armored Brigade raided Gaza City's Rantisi Hospital, where Hamas operatives had holed up.

In the week leading up to the raid, the IDF worked to enable the safe evacuation of patients from Rantisi, as well as from other hospitals in embattled northern Gaza. Israel helped the hospital managers evacuate the Gaza patients to a safer hospital; at least 18 patients were evacuated before Israeli forces attacked the hospital. The Israelis captured the hospital from the Hamas militants, and they discovered a Hamas command and control center in the basement, where suicide vests, grenades, AK-47 assault rifles, explosive devices, RPGs, computers, and money were found. The IDF also discovered that Israeli hostages were likely held captive in the hospital's basement, as they found an improvised toilet, women's clothing, a rope on the leg of a chair, and a makeshift time sheet where Hamas fighters scrawled their guard-shift times on the wall. The Israelis also discovered a motorcycle that may have been used to bring hostages to the basement. IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari theorized that the terrorists had evacuated the hospital with the patients, while issuing a filmed statement in which he said that the world should know that the Hamas was committing war crimes by using hospitals as military bases.
