al-Qaeda in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AQBH) was the al-Qaeda affiliate in Bosnia and Herzegovina, founded in 1992 during the Afghanistan War. al-Qaeda's operations in Bosnia were led by Ayman al-Zawahiri, and Osama bin Laden visited camps in the country from 1994 to 1996. Foreign Islamist volunteers from France, Indonesia, Iraq, Malaysia, Morocco, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Yemen came to Bosnia to serve in the Bosnian Mujahideen during the Bosnian War, Through the Saudi High Commission for Relief of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SHC) charity, al-Qaeda sent illegal drugs, merchandise, and weapons into the country, and it was closely tied and financed by the Saudi government. The movement carried out several minor terrorist attacks throughout the 2000s and 2010s, including Enes Omeragic's killing of 2 ARBiH troops in a shooting in Sarajevo in 2015.
