al-Muwatin is a Shia Islamist and populist political party in Iraq, formed in 2014 by the President of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Ammar al-Hakim. The party was an alliance of 23 Shia political entities united with the goal of implementing sharia law in the country, and it won 29/328 Council of Representatives seats in 2017.
