al-Mustanjid of Faqus (died 5 December 1186) was a general of the Ayyubid Caliphate.
Biography[]
al-Mustanjid of Faqus was a general of the Ayyubid Caliphate, and was the commander of the army sent to conquer northern Israel in 1186. At the Battle of Kiryat Ata, al-Mustanjid was defeated by the Templar Order and Kingdom of Jerusalem and was killed in action in a fight with Templar knights.
