al-Karar the Iraqi () was a member of the Islamic State from Iraq.
Biography[]
al-Karar was born to a family of Sunni Muslim Iraqis, and he joined the Islamic State. On 16 November 2015 he appeared in an IS video two days after the November 2015 Paris attacks, and along with al-Ghareeb the Algerian, he issued threats of more terrorist attacks to the coalition bombing the Islamic State. He stated that the only negotiations with France would take place "in the trenches" and not in "the hotels", referencing peace talks occurring in Vienna.
