
al-Jaldaki (died 1342) was an Egyptian alchemist during the 14th century.
Biography[]
Izz al-Din Aydamir al-Jaldaki was born in Egypt to a family of Persian mamluk origin, and he spent 17 years travelling through Iraq, Anatolia, Yemen, North Africa, and Syria. He became known as a brilliant alchemist whose Key of the Sciences of Lights and The Proof Regarding Secrets of the Science of the Balance were widely acclaimed by other alchemists. He died in 1342.
