al-Bahariyah is a village in eastern Ghouta, Rif Dimashq Governorate, Syria. Located in the Douma District of Damascus, the village was located on a hilltop, and it was a strategic location during the Syrian Civil War. al-Bahariyah was the site of clashes between the Syrian Opposition and pro-Syrian Arab Republic forces during the war, and on 21 June 2016 it was briefly captured by Jaysh al-Islam before the Syrian Arab Army, Palestine Liberation Army, and Hezbollah recovered the hill hours later.
