The al-Bab Military Council was a Syrian Democratic Forces operations room that was formed on 14 August 2016 during the Syrian Civil War. The council consisted of eight brigades and battalions, both Kurdish and Arab, both male and female. The council fought against both the Islamic State and the Turkey-backed Syrian Opposition for control of al-Bab in northern Syria.
