The al-Ahrar Bloc is a Shia Muslim political party in Iraq, formed in 2014 by supporters of the Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr. The movement branded itself as anti-corruption, and it opposed Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and his State of Law Coalition having another term in office when he ran for office in 2014. The party held 34/328 Council of Representatives seats in 2017.
