Akamatsu Norisuke (born 1301) was the daimyo of the Akamatsu clan.

Biography[]

Akamatsu Norisuke was the daimyo of the Akamatsu clan of Japan, and he was a powerful warlord in central Honshu with a couple of vassal clans during the Nanboku-cho period. Norisuke arranged for a trade agreement with the Ashikaga clan in late 1351 to increase his prosperity. During the conflicts of the period, Norisuke found himself at odds with the Southern Court, and in 1352, Norisuke and his son Akamatsu Sadanori defeated the army of Emperor Go-Murakami and his general Ochi Genta.
