"Ajax" was a member of The Warriors gang of Coney Island, New York City. He was hot-headed and violent, and he got into fights with the Warriors' war chief Swan over who would become the leader of the gang after Cleon was arrested. He was arrested in 1979 while trying to rape a lone woman in a park, who turned out to be an undercover policewoman.
