The Aikokusha, meaning Society of Patriots, was a liberal political party in Japan which existed in 1875. It was formed in February 1875 by Taisuke Itagaki, and it advocated for a constitutional monarchy. It dissolved in 1875 after a constitution was promised, but, when it failed to materialize, the party re-emerged as the Liberal Party of Japan in 1881.
