Ahtur (died 1117 BC) was a Philistine prince of the 12th century BC and military governor of the Tribe of Dan. In 1137 BC, he married Semadar, the daughter of Tubal and sister of Delilah. After Semadar's former betrothed Samson began a war of resistance against the Philistines, Ahtur levied unpopular taxes on the Danites, who responded by turning in Samson to Ahtur. Samson escaped from captivity by toppling Ahtur's war chariot and killing his men with the jawbone of a donkey. Ahtur was later present when Samson was captured in 1117 BC, and he was killed when Samson took down the temple of Dagon.
