Ahmad Mohamad al-Ghaz'zaoui

Ahmad Mohamad al-Ghaz'zaoui (died November-26 December 2014) was a fighter of the Islamic State.

Biography[]

Ahmad Mohamad al-Ghaz'zaoui (also spelled "al-Ghazzawi") was born in Bankstown, southwest Sydney, Australia to a family of Muslims that originated from a small Muslim village in Lebanon. al-Ghaz'zaoui became one of many young Australian Muslims who decided to travel to join the Islamic State during the Syrian Civil War. He entered Syria through Turkey and fought alongside other ISIS jihadists. He was killed in late 2014: The Guardian states that he was killed while fighting in Syria in November, while Social Justice Network member Jamal Daoud claims that he was killed on 25 or 26 December, although the family refused to answer his phone calls.
