The Agua Verde resort raid occurred in 2019 when a team of American special forces operatives raided Javier "Carzita" Coronel Vallardo's resort along Agua Verde Lake, scaring off its customers and forcing its closure.
Carzita served as the Santa Blanca Cartel's entertainment czar, transforming the Parque Nacional de Agua Verde into a mecca of gambling and luxury living. As part of their mission to take down the cartel's influence wing, Major Anthony Perryman and his Ghost Recon team decided to close down the resort. After capturing and interrogating the cartel lieutenant Hilario Gonzalez, the Americans moved in on the resort, engaging in a shootout with the sicarios guarding the venue in order to attract narco reinforcements. The Americans proceeded to hold their ground against several truckloads of sicarios, and the ensuing firefight scared the resort's customers into checking out and fleeing. By the time the narcos called off their attack, the resort had lost the majority of its clientele.
