Three Afghan Local Police boys

The Afghan Local Police is the umbrella term for anti-Taliban fighters in Afghanistan that are put on the United States payroll to protect their local areas. They were not incorporated into the Afghan National Police, and their ranks included the elderly, women, and children, with 53-year-old grandmother Commander Ajani leading a unit in Helmand Province that included her three grandchildren, all pre-teenagers.
