Aethelstan of Wintanceaster (1040-) was an English general in the service of King Harold Godwinson during the late 11th century. Following the Battle of Havant in late 1066, he assumed command of the remnants of the destroyed army and withdrew northwest, deeper into Hampshire and then into Wiltshire to rebuild his shattered army.
