Aethelred Leofricsson (born 850) was a noble of Mercia.
Biography[]
Aethelred Leofricsson was born in 850, the son of Earl Leofric of Shrewsbury. He was from the Anglo-Saxon Christian House of Wiglafing, and he was the heir to his father's Earldom of Shrewsbury. At the age of 17, he was given command of Mercian troops that fought against the Great Heathen Army, and he was captured in battle by Ivar the Boneless of Sudreyjar, a Viking king.
